Remote Passion

This painting is part of my series "Forms and Music" and speaks to our era of disconnection. I was inspired by how intimacy and desire have shifted into the digital realm—where love, passion, and sweet words are exchanged through screens instead of real touch. The figure is rendered in lifeless monochrome tones, echoing the emotional flatness of virtual contact. At the center, a vivid red phone melts with longing. It burns with symbolic fire—overflowing with intensity, but lacking substance. The result? A void. Emptiness. A longing left unanswered. I created this piece using acrylics and painting paste with various palette knives, allowing the materials to convey the tension between closeness and absence. It is a visual lament for what we have lost: the fullness of human connection.
