Αρμονία

Harmony was born from the deep impression left on me by a live dance performance and a striking black-and-white photograph. The raw power of collective movement and emotional expression inspired me to create my own dancers—vivid, dynamic figures filled with symbolism and energy.

I began with a softly layered background, using brushwork and delicate drops of paint applied with a syringe. The male figures were built up with a fine palette knife, forming hundreds of small scales that seem to struggle to stay connected—symbolizing the tension of inner conflict and collective force. This texture allowed me to capture movement and resistance.

At the base of the composition, I introduced a dark strip—a metaphor for difficulty, limits, or societal pressures. From that line, the dancers leap upward, breaking free from the canvas frame itself. Their movement is bold and autonomous.

This work carries a strong message—especially for younger generations: to dream, to strive, to rise. Only by making your own leap can you escape the frame imposed upon you. We all have the power to break through.
